I recently gave birth to my son whom i named Azrael. I don't know where i got the idea for the name, It just sort of popped into my head one day and stuck. and I have not been able to find it in any baby name books. people had told me that it was the angel of death and i had begun to regret listening to instinct when it came to naming my son. I want to thank you for informing me about the vast history of azrael and the many different debates about who he truly was. It is much easier to tell people that my baby's name is derived from a scribe in ancient text then it is to say he is the angel of death, or the only other thing i found which was the evil cat from the smurfs.
